Elena Fanaylova's bilingual poetry collection, "For My Beloved / För mina älskade," was published by the Stockholm-based publishing house Hyperboreus in the summer of 2024 (Swedish translation by L. Starodubtseva and M. Nydahl).
This collection comprises works from the last 20 years, all related in one way or another to the theme of war, including war between Russia and Ukraine.
Elena Fanaylova is a laureate of the Andrei Bely Prize (1999), the Moscow Account Prize (2003), and the Znamya magazine prize (2008). She is a columnist for Radio Liberty, the author and host of the radio program and podcast "Fanaylova: Babylon Moscow," and the host of the program "Freedom in Clubs" (2002-2020). Previously, she was a correspondent for RS and the author of the program series "Far from Moscow: Culture, Cities, and People of the Former Soviet Empire" and "Beslan: City of Angels."
