Irina Evsa is a poet, translator, and author of fourteen poetry books. She is a laureate of awards from the International Boris Chichibabin Memorial Foundation (2000), the "Cultural Hero of the 21st Century" festival (2002), the "People's Recognition" award (2004), the Russian Prize (2016), the Voloshin Prize (2016), the "Kyiv Laurels" festival award (2018), and the special "Moscow Account" award.

She was born and resides in Kharkiv.
