The Hysteria of Hysterias. Poems from the Era of the Revolution and the Civil War
Истерика истерик. Стихи времён революции и Гражданской войны
This book brings together, for the first time, the earliest poetic work of Boris Poplavsky, covering the period from 1917 to 1921—the years preceding his emigration to Paris. It includes poems and longer verse pieces written in Moscow, Kharkiv, Crimea, the North Caucasus, and Constantinople. Based entirely on archival materials, the collection features numerous original works composed under the influence of Russian Futurism. Most of these texts have never been published before. One of the four appendices contains the complete version of the poet’s Constantinople diary.
