I Write for You
Я пишу для тебя
The poems of Barbara Gruszka-Zych have an uplifting nature, expressing a cautious belief in the meaning of life that does not shy away from difficult questions. Writing to challenge time and the power of transience, and seeking fragile formulas for the (im)possible harmony of existence are the main goals set by the Polish poetess.
Barbara Gruszka-Zych's work is founded on three pillars: the recognition of the value of "ordinary existence," the acceptance of her femininity, and the belief in the possibility of experiencing the sacred in everyday life. Gruszka-Zych writes poetry with her entire life, conducting a unique journalistic investigation. She does so meticulously, though not ostentatiously, with herself as the subject of the investigation.
Her poetic strategy is a hunt for the hidden meanings of events that unfold both within her and in her psychophysical surroundings.
