New Century
Новый век
"New Century" is a collection of intellectual poetry by Polish professor Krzysztof Szatrawski, known for his numerous projects in the interdisciplinary space. He is a poet, writer, musicologist, cultural theorist, literary critic, publicist, philosopher, and polyglot translator.
In each of his poetic books, Szatrawski seeks new means of expression to convey previously unrecorded experiences. While maintaining a connection with the poetic heritage of the past, he boldly experiments, ultimately breaking all established traditions. Yet, he remains true to himself in one aspect — his carefully crafted rhythmic lines are akin to musical phrases.
In "New Century," he engages in the discourse on establishing truth about (and in) music, literature, and culture, which is most acutely manifested in the title poem. This work crowns the poetic creativity of Krzysztof Szatrawski.
