The first edition of the book included tales only from the Old World - Europe and Asia: Japanese, German, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, French, English, Jewish and Chinese. Because real tales must be ancient.

In the new edition, this geographical injustice has been corrected. Three tales from the New World have been added: Indian, American and Colombian.
