"Fritz Kocher's School Essays" (Fritz Kochers Aufsätze), Robert Walser's first book, was published in December 1904 by Insel in Leipzig. The 11 graphic illustrations were created by Karl Walser (1877-1943), the aspiring writer's older and, at the time, much more famous (and now completely forgotten) brother, a book designer and stage designer.
