The book includes essays by Nastya Mantsevich (Belarus), written during 2019–2023, and poems by Alok Waid-Menon (USA) from the collection Femme in Public (2017) translated by Nastya. The original and translated texts unite the themes of borders: from state and bodily to gender, the study of the relationships between them, as well as reflection on domestic, family and state violence. Through literary expression, there is a search (demand) for one's place, freedom for the word (text) and the body.
