This book is a condensed version of the 10-volume "History of the Russian State," outlining the author's concept and the general logic of socio-political processes. At least, it represents an attempt to uncover this logic. The last two chapters are devoted to periods not covered in the ten-volume work: the USSR from its rise to its collapse, and the era beginning in 1991.
