The Futurist Cookbook: Manifesto by F.T. Marinetti and Phillius "Futurist Cuisine"
Поваренная книга футуриста: Манифест Ф.Т.Маринетти и Филлия «Футуристическая кухня»
The manifesto book "Futurist Cuisine" (1932) by F. T. Marinetti and Fillia (pseudonym of Luigi Colombo) is the aesthetic and theoretical foundation of the grandiose futurist campaign to promote Italian cuisine to the world level. The authors propose a reorganization of all aspects of human existence in the name of achieving "harmony between the human palate and the life of our century." The main idea of the manifesto is associated with the proclamation of freedom of Italian cuisine from European dishes, and the language - from borrowings. In addition to the gastronomic, linguistic and aesthetic revolution, a solution to economic problems is also proposed, since the futurist kitchen manifesto is "an answer to the world crisis", "optimism on the table" - which makes its publication in Russia especially relevant.
The publication introduces the Russian reader to the extravagant opus of Marinetti / Fillia for the first time. At the same time, this publication provides for the first time a detailed commentary, which has no analogues in the West. The book also includes two studies, an annotated bibliography and 150 illustrations; it is capable of becoming a generator of new meanings at the intersection of world, Italian and Russian gastronomy and culture.
