"Plan D the Day Before" is a thematic response to a world system dominated by black humor, and an intonational response to American postmodernist prose of the 20th century - it transfers the heroes of the robber novels of the era of Friedrich Schiller and Walter Scott into the reality of structuralism and montage methods that existed before the advent of sound cinema.
