I'm coming to you, people
Іду да вас, людзі
The anthology of essays “I’m Coming to You, People” is dedicated to the topic of neighborhood in a broad and narrow sense. In this book, you will find essays by eighteen contemporary Belarusian women authors, those who remain in Belarus and those who, after 2020, due to the intensification of political repression, including against people of the word, had to leave and live outside its borders.
The writers reflect on how we feel among people of other cultures or similar to us, how we see each other and influence each other, that thanks to the neighborhood we learn about the culture of communication and everyday life, about our identity as a person who grew up in Belarus.
As a sign of our times and the political crisis in the country, some women writers are published under pseudonyms for security reasons; biographical information about them is unfortunately missing in this collection.
