Sasha Filipenko, as always (read "Former Son" and "Intentions"), is relevant, observant, witty and — laconic. He once again managed to pack a full-length action-packed novel into a small book. Of course, the skill of a television scriptwriter for Channel One and Dozhd is evident, but something else is also felt: Sasha Filipenko's characters are his peers and contemporaries. Musicians, football players, journalists, political strategists... They were unlucky with the era. They acutely feel their youth running away, maybe that's why their dialogues are so fragmentary and coded, and their love does not imply a continuation. "Hounding" is a story about how cynicism and irony are not universal armor. And that an attempt to slip between conscience and meanness can end with an SMS on the phone screen: «On vybrosil rebenka iz oknа (((…».
