On the hill in Silichy
На прызбе ў Сілічах
The literary work of Maria Vaitsyashonak is based on her almost mythological national identity and the old classical tradition. The naturalness of the text, the ease of the language style and the memorability of folk colloquial speech make Maria's prose and poetry original and genuine among the many creators of our modern literature.
Unfortunately, Maria Vaitsyashonak began to lose her eyesight. Reading and writing are becoming increasingly problematic for her. However, her spiritual and creative activity force her to look for new opportunities to participate in the literary process - this is how the blog-dialogue "On the Prize in Silichi" appeared together with Oksana Yorkina.
Maria would talk over the phone about her attitude to various current and ominous events in her and public life, asking the topic of conversation or answering the questions of her classmate. These conversations were not only creative in nature, but also had an impressive artistic basis, both in terms of plot and linguistic and stylistic design.
