The book by literary scholar and writer Ksenia Golubovich is dedicated to the work of poet, essayist, and theologian Olga Alexandrovna Sedakova. Articles from various years are united by an internal theme: postmodernism as an opportunity for a new sense of the sublime. To explore this theme, the author had to develop new approaches to poetic texts, especially since Olga Sedakova's poetry acts as a magnet, inevitably changing the mode of discourse about poetry after the catastrophes of the 20th century. Demonstrating the transformation in the way we think about poetry in light of Olga Sedakova's texts is undoubtedly one of the main objectives of this book.

"Postmodernism—meaning what comes after modernism—in its minimal effort signifies that much of what was is no longer possible, and in its maximal condition, everything that was is possible—but differently. How? Somehow miraculously—like writing white on white. In the case of Olga Sedakova, from my perspective, a miracle occurs. If no miracle happens, we encounter a harsh, ironic, and firm barrier against any grand narratives, uncritical sentimental constructs, and mass ideologies. But if we do enter the miracle, we can find an answer to the challenge that the twentieth century posed to our humanity, and we can discover a new dignity of the human being, a new purpose."
