Brecht Evens is a contemporary Flemish comics writer and illustrator, whom The Guardian has called one of the most talented representatives of the Belgian school of illustration since Hergé, creator of the Tintin comics. For his graphic novel "Nighthawks," Brecht was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival (2019).
