Pyotr Nikolaevich Mamonov is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Russian culture. An artist, musician, director, and radio host, he created wonderful images in film and theater. He has appeared in over 20 films and directed nearly 15 musical performances, in which he played leading roles. Nearly 300 of his original "Golden Shelf" programs have aired on Echo of Moscow radio. The rock band Zvuki Mu has released over 20 discs. But poetry was the most important thing in his life. "I'm not so much a musician as a poet, by nature, by how I feel. I've been writing poetry for a long time, and in general, I have a poetic approach to reality," he says of himself. This book continues Pyotr Mamonov's poetry series. Inside are original poems, typed on an Underwood typewriter, with handwritten notes by the author himself. This collection includes previously unpublished poems by Mamonov.
