Yuriy Tarnawsky was born in 1934 in what was then Poland (now the Lviv region of Ukraine). Since 1944, he lived in Germany, and since 1952, he has been residing in the USA. He is the founder of the New York Group (1958), a significant association of Ukrainian poets in the mid-century, and a co-editor of the poetry magazine of Ukrainian émigrés, "Novyi Poeziyi." The book is being released to celebrate the author's 90th birthday.
