Yuliy Gugolev was born in 1964. He is the author of a book of palindromes and six poetry collections. He is a laureate of the "Moscow Account" Grand Prize (2007) and the "Poetry" Prize (2020). He resides in Moscow.

The collection "From Revelries to Sanctuaries" features poems about war and its premonitions. The book is introduced by an introductory article by Alexander Frantsev.
