The book tells the story of the seizure of power in Russia by state security agencies and traces the stages of this seizure—from December 1917, when the Cheka was formed, to the present day, when a cascade of unconstitutional maneuvers resulted in power in Russia falling into the hands of the FSB, and former FSB Director Vladimir Putin seizing the presidency. The reader will witness the deadly battle between state security and the Communist Party, which ended with the KGB's victory over the CPSU in 1991 and over the entire country in 2000, when Putin became president for good.
