Yegor Letov is the leader of the bands "Civil Defense" and "Communism", a musician, poet, artist and thinker; one of the key figures in Soviet and Russian culture of the last 50 years. Journalist Alexander Gorbachev, based on interviews with eyewitnesses and hundreds of documentary sources, makes the first attempt to write a full-fledged biography of Letov, which contained so many exciting events and surprising twists that it would be enough for several TV series. The book grew out of the podcast "He saw the sun", but was essentially created anew: Letov's life trajectory and his creative adventures are presented in all their complexity, contradictions and paradoxes.
