Dmitry Strotsev is a Belarusian poet who writes in Russian. He was born in Minsk in 1963. He is the author of 18 books of poetry. He is the head of the literary and publishing project "Novye Mekhi", the publisher of the almanac and poetry series "Minsk School". He is a member of the Belarusian PEN Center. He is a laureate of numerous awards, including the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation Disturbing the Peace Award to a Courageous Writer at Risk (2021), Swedish PEN's Tucholsky Award (2021), and the Belarusian PEN Center Ales Adamovich Award (2021). His poems have been translated into many languages.
