Radiant Omsk
Лучезарный Омск
Omsk is a city of the sun, a garden city, a city of Soviet modernism, located in the historic space of Siberia. Its abundant sunny days and its clearly defined historical core, situated on the bend of two rivers, all characterize Omsk with the laconic epithet "radiant." Developing as a typical Soviet city, Omsk underwent rapid socioeconomic and urban development changes in the second half of the 20th century, becoming a truly Radiant City. The uniqueness of this process was determined by Omsk's vast natural and geographical potential, which was realized largely thanks to local architects. They skillfully employed various architectural techniques, achieving harmony in their structures and their consonance with the space of the historic city.
