Moss's meat grinder

Мясорубка Мосса

The year is 2030, and the world has recently recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic, but Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 hasn't happened. A young data analyst is conducting research for an international IT corporation and notices a strange correlation between the deaths of strangers in different parts of the world. As we delve into the novel, we gradually understand the connections between a French newlywed couple, a US Marine, a Spanish flight attendant, a Croatian veteran, and a Serbian contemporary artist. Meanwhile, dozens of characters seek answers to difficult questions: how long do the wounds of war last? Why is it easier to admit guilt than to accept responsibility? And how far can guilt go?

A chemist by training, Sergey Kuznetsov has been professionally engaged in journalism and literature since the 1990s. He has translated works by Stephen King and Susan Sontag, written a monograph on Brodsky's poetics, a nonfiction novel about the history of the Russian internet, "Feeling the Elephant," and more than a dozen novels, which have been nominated for the National Bestseller, Russian Booker, Big Book, and New Horizons prizes. "Moss's Meat Grinder" is a unique conclusion to Sergei Kuznetsov's trilogy, which began with the novels "Round Dance of Water" (2010) and "Kaleidoscope. Expendable Materials" (2016).
