Through nothing into nowhere
Празь нішто ў нікуды
Viachka Krasulin is a musician, poet, traveler, and a man who always seems to be in a rush to get somewhere. He performs, records, rehearses, works in construction, restores organs, writes poems in bars until dawn, and occasionally finds himself in situations so bizarre they would be hard to invent while sober. All of this constitutes different facets of a single individual who has little desire to be convenient or predictable.
This collection contains texts written between 2008 and 2026. It includes songs for the musical project "Kashlaty Vokh" (Shaggy Vokh) as well as poems conceived in the Minsk metro, bars in Vilnius, various apartments, out in nature, across different countries, and in diverse states of consciousness. Here, the absurd sits alongside tenderness, dark humor borders on loneliness, and themes of death, love, alcohol, and everyday life intertwine into a strange journey—through nothingness and into nowhere.
"Every letter here is genuine—it’s truly mine," says Viachka. He allows himself the freedom to be multifaceted, making no attempt to transform his writing into conventional, "proper" literature. In this book, he neither lies nor plays games; instead, he sincerely flings out letters—sometimes funny, sometimes ugly, sometimes painful, but always his own.
