"To Kill a Palmist" is the third book by Dmitry Bartosik in the "Journeys of Freedom" series, following the previous ones: "I Was at Mr. Sparrow's Talking" and "The Chinese Dentist's Clinic". Here, as in the previous books, the story is about unknown facts of Belarusian history based on documents and the voices of living witnesses, of whom there were almost no survivors at the time of the book's publication. It is about the last attempt to save reality as it was in post-war Belarus - without interpretations.
