This book contains drawings by a political prisoner from Belarus, Anastasia Kukhta. The images resemble the Love Is… comic strip commonly found in the chewing gum wrapper during the 90s. The initial sketches Anastasia sent to her husband from prison as a present on New Year’s Eve moved him deeply. They conveyed the harshness of their separation with great detail and
precision.
