Alexander Moiseevich Pyatigorsky (1929-2009) was a philosopher, orientalist, and writer. Forced to emigrate in 1974, he settled in the UK and worked at the School of Oriental Studies at the University of London. This publication comprises five lecture series on world philosophy, from Buddha and Zoroaster to Koestler, Kojève, and Sartre, delivered on Radio Liberty in the mid-1970s and early 1990s.
