Yuri Saprykin's book explores the creation and current reception of ten films by Sergei Alexandrovich Solovyov (1944–2021). Chapters on specific films alternate with reflections on the director's fundamental artistic motifs. A selection of interviews and the director's memoirs is included as an appendix.
