We created The Bookest to weave culture and mend hearts. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you were born, where you live, or what language you speak — we have the perfect book for you.

Books on art, architecture, the future, life, and death. Poetry, prose, scientific research, memoirs, colorful albums, board games, and children’s books. Brand-new releases, timeless classics, and rare antiquarian treasures. We offer books in Belarusian, Ukrainian, Russian, Lithuanian, English, French, German, and more. We exclusively feature some works from very small publishers and self-published authors.

We also hunt for rare books around the world, for ourselves and for you: if you dream of a special book and can’t find it anywhere, just let us know.

It’s natural for people who have moved to a new country to want to deeply understand its culture while preserving their own. We know firsthand how books help in such situations and are happy to recommend bibliotherapy for you and your children.

The Bookest is not just an online store but also a welcoming space in the heart of Vilnius. Here you can relax, have coffee, meet writers, watch films, and buy handmade souvenirs — or even a book for 0 €. At this price, we offer books that our guests bring in to share the joy of reading with others. Our store even has its own art gallery!
