In this monograph, based on the author's field research, the social and cultural aspects of the adaptation of Afghan migrants in Belarus are examined. The primary focus of the study is the transformation of the migrants' ethnic identity, which is manifested in the detailed description of the family and social traditions of Afghans in Belarus.

The monograph also explores the history of community formation, migration circumstances, and the daily life of people from Afghanistan. A separate chapter is dedicated to the methodological aspects of researching ethnic identity and modern urban ethnography.
