*Beyond the Horizon* is the first anthology of its kind to explore St. Petersburg writing without relying on the concept of the "St. Petersburg text" or any fixed "image of the city." It focuses on the question of objective criteria for the St. Petersburg style and the existential stakes that unite "classicists" and "avant-gardists," authors of the first post-war generation and our contemporaries. The book can also be read as a representative retrospective of St. Petersburg poetry, prose, and essays spanning the 1950s to the 2020s.
